Short answer
When choosing a security camera company in Şanlıurfa, first check whether the company has a real address, a trade registration and the ability to issue invoices. Then check the validity of its certificates, its references from similar jobs and the content of its Google reviews. Finally, ask in writing for an itemized quote, a handover file and who you can reach, and how, when there is a fault.
How do you know a company is real and reachable?
The first three items are about the company itself and take a few minutes to check. Note the trade name and tax number in the quote and confirm that the invoice will be issued under this name. By searching the name in the Turkish Trade Registry Gazette records, you can see how long the company has been registered.
The company should have an office or warehouse address. Whether it is in Karaköprü, Haliliye or Eyyübiye, if you can go to the address and find someone, you will find them on the day of a fault too. Someone who works with just a mobile phone and a social media account can also do a good installation, but two years later, when the recorder breaks, you cannot know whether that number will still be answered.
- 1. Are the trade name and tax number written in the quote?
- 2. Is there a fixed address you can visit?
- 3. Is the installation done with an invoice?
What do certificates show, and how are they verified?
The fourth and fifth items are about certificates. Management system certificates such as ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 show that the company has defined its processes and had them audited; they do not prove that every installation will be good. Look at the certificate's validity date and scope line. The scope should include installation or service. Look up the certificate number on the issuing body's verification page.
An authorized dealer certificate shows that the company buys the brand it offers through the official channel. The brand on the certificate must be the same as the brand in the quote. Writing brand X in the quote and showing the authorization of brand Y says nothing about that quote.
Expert note: Do not settle for a photocopy of a certificate. Confirm that the certificate is valid today through the certification body's website or by calling the distributor.
How to read references and Google reviews
The sixth item is references. Ask the company for the names of two or three installations similar to yours: a market if you own a market, a housing estate if you are an estate manager. Call the reference and ask two questions: was there a fault after the installation, and if so, how quickly and in what way did the company handle it? If possible, see the cameras and the cabinet where the recorder sits in person; the cable layout says a lot.
The seventh item is Google reviews. Look at the content of the reviews rather than the average score. Reviews that describe a concrete job and mention a district or a problem are more informative. Five-star reviews that came one after another in a short time, all a single sentence, deserve attention. Instead of one bad review, look at whether the same complaint repeats across more than one person. The company's reply to a negative review also tells you about its after-sales attitude.
How do the site survey and the written quote reveal a company?
The eighth item is the on-site inspection. A good company does not name the number of cameras over the phone; it comes to the site, asks what you want to see, and separates whether you want to recognize the door or a plate 15 meters away. It decides the camera points, the cable route and the recorder location together with you.
The ninth item is an itemized written quote. The brand, model and quantity of the cameras, lens size, recorder, disk capacity, cable length, labor and taxes must be written on separate lines. A single-line total makes it impossible to compare two quotes.
Before asking for quotes, give every company the same written needs note: how many points will be monitored, who will watch the footage, how many days the recording will be kept. That way the difference between quotes comes from the companies' proposals, not from you describing it differently to each one.
The disk line looks small but makes a big difference. With the same cameras and the same recording settings, if a 2 TB disk holds 10 days of recordings, a 4 TB disk holds about 20 days: when the capacity doubles, the time roughly doubles. Two quotes that say 2 TB and 4 TB are not offering the same job. You can calculate this for your own system with the disk calculator on the tools page.
What should you ask for at handover and after it?
The tenth item is the handover file. When the installation is finished, you should be given the camera layout plan, the device list, the recorder's admin password and the account for viewing from your phone. If the admin password stays only with the company, it causes problems when you later want to work with another company. In the area where you install cameras, under KVKK you are responsible for putting up a notice sign; you can ask the company to guide you on this.
The eleventh item is fault reporting and the twelfth is maintenance. Ask which number or channel you should use to report a fault and how problems that can be checked by connecting remotely are handled. Şanlıurfa's summer heat and dust wear out outdoor cameras; find out whether there is a maintenance option for a yearly lens cleaning, connection check and disk health check. If you are in a district such as Siverek, Viranşehir or Birecik, clarify from the start whether the company also serves there. In the first week after installation, open a night recording on your phone and watch it yourself; if there is infrared reflection or a focus problem, it is easier to fix while the company is still on site.
Expert note: Before installation, agree in writing on whose name the admin password and the viewing account will be opened under. If the account is tied to your email, you can reach your recordings even if you change companies.

Frequently asked
How can I tell if a camera company in Şanlıurfa is reliable?
Verify the trade name and address, check that its certificates are valid, and ask for a reference from a similar job and call it. Think twice before working with a company that does not give an itemized written quote or will not hand over the admin password to you.
How much should Google reviews count when choosing a company?
Reviews are a sign, not a deciding measure on their own. Look at the content and dates of the reviews and whether the same complaint repeats, rather than at the score. How the company answers negative reviews also tells you something.
Is choosing the cheapest quote a mistake?
If the quotes include the same items, choosing the lower one makes sense. The difference is often hidden in disk capacity, the camera model, the cable type or the scope of labor; do not decide without putting the quotes side by side, item by item.
