    Basis: The numbers follow field planning rules: a face recognition camera at every entrance, indoor coverage area per camera based on the type of space, evenly spaced cameras around the perimeter, and plate + overview cameras in the parking lot. The exact layout is decided during the site survey.

    Let’s choose the right camera together

    Basis: IEC EN 62676-4 pixel densities: detection 25, observation 62, person recognition 125, face recognition 250 pixels/meter. Horizontal angle = 2·atan(sensor width / 2·focal length). Sensor widths: 1/2.8" 5.57 mm (Sony IMX307), 1/2.7" 5.76 mm (OV2710), 1/1.8" 7.68 mm (Sony IMX334). Face width is taken as 16 cm.

    Basis: Hikvision recommended bitrate tables (e.g. 4 MP at 25 fps: H.264 8,192, H.265 4,096, H.265+ target 2,048 kbps). For busy scenes the tables recommend a 20–30% increase; in quiet scenes variable bitrate takes up less space. Assumptions: quiet scene 70% of the bitrate, busy scene 125%; with motion recording, 40% of the day is recorded. Disk sizes are surveillance disks (2–20 TB), with a 10% file system allowance.

    Basis: IEEE 802.3af (PoE) provides 15.4 W per port, 802.3at (PoE+) 30 W and 802.3bt (PoE++) 60/90 W; 12.95 / 25.5 / 51–71.3 W reaches the device (NetAlly PoE table). A copper Ethernet channel is at most 100 m. Typical draw: fixed camera with IR 4–8 W, PTZ about 25 W; cable loss at 100 m is 2.45 W for PoE. It is recommended not to exceed 80% of the budget.

    Basis: Battery energy = voltage × Ah × quantity. Inverter efficiency 85%, usable depth 90%, Peukert exponent 1.2 for capacity loss at high current (VRLA, 20-hour capacity). End of battery life is taken as 80% of capacity (IEEE 1188). Consumption: IP camera with IR on 6 W, switch 10 W + 10% PoE loss, NVR 10 W + 6 W per disk, modem 10 W.

    Let’s plan the cabling together

    Basis: Voltage drop = 2 × length × current × conductor resistance (out and back). Resistance: IEC 60228 class 5 copper, 20 °C: 0.5 mm² 39.0 · 0.75 mm² 26.0 · 1 mm² 19.5 · 1.5 mm² 13.3 · 2.5 mm² 7.98 Ω/km. For CCA, resistance is taken as 1.6 times (the resistivity of aluminum is about 1.6 times that of copper). Target: loss below 5%.

    Let’s look at your roof together

    Basis: PVGIS 5.3 (European Commission JRC, SARAH3 2005–2023), Şanlıurfa 37.17° N / 38.79° E, system loss 14%: facing south at a 32° tilt, 1,599 kWh per kW per year; on a flat roof (10°) 1,504 kWh; east/west (20°) about 1,350 kWh; monthly values are in the chart. An off-grid system is sized for the weakest month, with a 15% allowance for battery loss. Panel 2,278 × 1,134 mm (580–605 W class datasheet). Orientation, shade and dust change production; the exact calculation is made on site.
