On the plain, summer is when pumps run the most. If you are thinking of solar-powered irrigation or already have a system, preparation should be done before planting begins, as winter ends; an installation or a breakdown in the middle of the irrigation season leaves the field waiting.

Frequently asked
How many panels do I need for solar irrigation?
The number of panels depends on the pump's power, the well's depth and how long you irrigate each day. If you share this information with us, we will calculate your system accordingly; we do not give an exact number without seeing the field.
How often should I clean the panels?
Because there is a lot of dust on the plain, the panels need to be checked often. When a visible layer of dust forms on the surface, we recommend cleaning them with a soft brush and clean water at times when the sun is not directly overhead.
Can I convert my current electric pump to solar?
In most cases, yes. We look at the pump's type and power and choose a suitable pump drive and panel layout. For some older pumps, replacing the pump may be the better choice; we tell you this after seeing it on site.
