Shop and home security during the Bayram holiday

1. Arm and disarm the alarm once to check that the keypad and the app work.
2. If wireless sensors show a low-battery warning, replace the batteries before Bayram.
3. Check the phone numbers that get notified when the alarm goes off; add a relative you can reach while on holiday.
4. Open the live view of your shop or home in the camera app; test night vision once in the evening.
5. Check whether the recorder and modem are connected to a UPS, so recording does not stop if the power goes out.
6. Check that the cameras covering the cash register, shop window and back door have not shifted.
7. Do not leave valuable goods in the shop window; leaving the cash drawer empty and open keeps it from being forced.
8. At home, set a few lamps to turn on in the evening with a timer or smart plug.
9. Be careful not to post on social media in real time that you are on holiday.
